Who We Are

MakePossible is a mentoring network created by SCWIST (Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology). We bring together women in STEM and their allies to connect, collaborate, and lead through community-powered mentorship.

Our platform is designed to break down barriers, build confidence, and create real opportunities for professional growth - whether you're a student, an early-career professional, or a seasoned leader looking to give back.

Our Vision

A world where aspiration, opportunity and diversity intersect.

We envision a future where every woman in STEM has access to the guidance, network, and support she needs to thrive - regardless of her background or career stage.

Our Mission

Help women connect, collaborate and lead through a dedicated mentoring network in STEM.

We do this by providing:

  • One-on-one and group mentoring opportunities
  • Leadership development programs
  • Professional networking events
  • Community-driven learning and support

Why Mentoring Matters

Research shows that mentorship dramatically improves career outcomes for women in STEM - from higher retention rates to faster career advancement. Yet many women lack access to mentors who understand their unique challenges.

MakePossible closes that gap by creating a safe, supportive space where mentoring happens naturally - by community, for community.
