STEM Mentoring for Women in Bangalore

Bangalore is India's Silicon Valley. You have hundreds of global tech companies, thousands of startups, and some of the best engineering talent in the world. For women in STEM, this city is full of possibility.

But here is what we hear from women in Bangalore. The opportunities are there, but finding the right guidance is still hard. Who do you ask when you want to move from a coding role into product management? How do you find someone who can introduce you to the right people? Who helps you figure out if you should stay in your current job or take a risk on a startup?

That is where MakePossible comes in. We are a mentoring network built for women in STEM, by women in STEM. And we have a growing community right here in Bangalore. Our members work at the big tech companies, lead engineering teams, run their own startups, and teach at places like IISc and IIT. They have been where you are. And they want to help.

Maybe you are a recent engineering graduate. You have the skills but you are struggling to get noticed. A mentor can look at your resume, do a mock interview with you, and introduce you to hiring managers in their network. That kind of help changes everything.

Or maybe you have been working as a data scientist for a few years. You are good at your job, but you feel stuck. You want to be considered for leadership roles, but you are not sure how to get there. A mentor who has navigated that transition can give you practical advice. How to build visibility. How to advocate for yourself. How to speak up in meetings where you are the only woman.

We also know that many women in Bangalore face extra challenges. Long commutes. Family expectations. Workplaces that are not always welcoming. Our mentors understand these challenges because they have lived them. They can give you advice that actually works for your real life.
